Professor Elwood Pricklethorn
This year’s 2022 tour is a GO! We will start in beautiful Iowa and make our way over to Nebraska to the HQ of the National Arbor Day Foundation.
My commitment marks my 20th consecutive tour, and I am quickly honing in on $100 k that I have raised for this TREEmendous cause. What a ride it has been since my first tour way back in 2003! I can't begin to tell you how many incredible people I have met along the way and how many trees have planted and saved via this annual pilgrimage to benefit trees. The tour blends all of my passions and ultimately directs tax-deductible dollars to a great cause that helps our urban trees. The cause is simple: to advance professional tree care through research, pass on best practices to Arborists and to increase public awareness through educational initiatives. We bring professional tree care and intelligence to the trees and engage tree enthusiasts along the way. We need your help to benefit the trees so that the trees can benefit us! Tour des Trees presents a creative opportunity to support progressive research and education involving one of our most overlooked resources on the planet and I am asking for your support. Funds raised here in Canada are granted out annually to worthy projects by the Canadian TREE Fund, including the Jack Kimmel International Research Grant. In the USA, The International TREE Fund administers funds and awards grants to worthy projects around the globe. All pledges will be followed up with registered charitable tax receipts, both in Canada and the USA. To donate in US Funds click here: Thank you berry much! |
